Previously, namely in 2015, Microsoft has stated that Windows 10 is the last version of the Windows operation. But rumors that Microsoft will launch its newest Windows, keep popping up.
Before this rumor reappeared, actually Microsoft had already updated Windows before,
releasing new major versions (Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1), they release feature updates twice a year and cumulative updates every month.
Panos Panay, Chief Product Officer at Microsoft, tweeted a video showing the new Windows 10 logo and an animated stream of sunshine that oddly ends with what looks like the number ’11.’
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella previously confirmed that he and other employees had tested the new version internally and said that a “significant update” would be revealed soon.
Microsoft hints at Windows 11?
This week, Microsoft will hold a press conference on June 24, 2021 at 11:00 am ET. Microsoft side
“reveals the next generation of Windows,” which includes what many believe is a hint that the next version will be named Windows 11.
Microsoft also has an ambitious project, which is to unify the Windows and Linux operating systems. Being a new terminal, which may be a merger of the two, makes game developers and other developers like Windows 11.
